Description
The SRc5P dual channel receiver consists of two separate receivers built into a single, ultra compact housing with adapters for video camera receiver slots and for stand-alone use. "Digital Hybrid Wireless" technology provides superb, compandor-free audio quality and compatibility with other wireless systems. The RF performance is extremely stable over a very wide temperature range, making the receiver perfectly suited to the rough environmental conditions found in field production.
"Digital Hybrid Wireless" combines 24-bit digital audio with an analog FM radio link to provide outstanding audio quality and the extended operating range of the best analog wireless systems. The design overcomes channel noise in a dramatically new way, digitally encoding the audio bitstream in the transmitter and decoding it in the receiver, yet sending the encoded information via an analog FM wireless link. This proprietary DSP algorithm eliminates a compandor circuit and its artifacts and preserves the RF spectral footprint of analog FM designs to simplify multi-channel coordination with exisiting analog wireless systems.
DSP compatibility modes allow the receiver to be used with a variety of Lectrosonics systems, other brands of wireless systems and with Lectrosonics IFB transmitters.
The SRc5P, compared to the SRc, has an audio output connector on its top panel. This output can be used with certain cameras that do not accept 2 channel audio passing through their wireless receiver slot. In this case the missing audio channel can be connected with a cable going from the top panel output directly into one of the camera's audio inputs.
