RF VENUE Diversity Fin antenna
The Diversity Fin Antenna is designed to be used with wireless microphone systems and other UHF receivers incorporating dual branch diversity reception. It comprises orthogonal, directional LPDA and bi-directional dipole elements. The element orientation and position achieve optimal polarization diversity reception and improve signal constancy in indoor and reflective environments.
Instead of using two antennas of the same orientation spaced a distance apart, as with standard whip or paired LPDA "shark fin" antennas, it includes one element that captures vertically polarized waves, and another that captures horizontally polarized waves. The probability of dropouts is significantly reduced, switching noise disappears, and the likelihood of cross-linear signal fades is reduced to practically zero.
To use, just connect both the A and B ports on any antenna distributor or wireless microphone receiver and point toward the stage. The result is an antenna that dramatically improves system performance in the space of only 1 antenna. And since only 1 antenna is needed for diversity reception, not 2, you'll get optimum diversity coverage for much less.
